BURNT TASTE CLEAROMIZER, WHAT SOLUTIONS?

Whether you are an expert in rebuildable or on the contrary a great beginner in the electronic cigarette, we have all had the bad experience of an unpleasant burnt taste. What a disappointment to encounter this problem just after having carefully filled the tank of your clearomizer with your favourite liquid. The exquisite flavours you thought you would enjoy are no longer there and a taste of burnt resistance invades your mouth.

In the worst case, it’s even the dry hit. The resistance is not full of e-liquid and you therefore vape cotton heated to a high temperature. Not only is the burnt taste awful, but you feel like you’re suffocating.

BURNT TASTE WITH MY ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE, WHY?

The reasons are quite simple. If you have a burnt taste with your cigarette, the problem always comes from the electronic cigarette tank. Indeed, it is it or rather the resistance it contains that vaporizes your liquid. This, when damaged, can no longer do its job and you then feel the adverse effects on your taste buds. Unsuitable draw, lack of cleaning, forgetting to replace the resistance of the clearomizer, and dilapidated equipment, here is an anthology of the reasons why you experience a burnt taste when using your electronic cigarette.

YOU ARE VAPING TOO HARD!

One of the most difficult reflexes to give up is surely that of pulling hard and intensely on your cigarette. With the vape it’s just the opposite, you have to take a puff gently. Indeed, if you do not follow these instructions, you risk prematurely wearing out your wick, which will not have time to soak properly. In the worst cases, you can even burn the resistance of the clearomiser and it’s a guaranteed dry hit!

Also, be careful not to vape too fast. This is often the mistake made by beginners who need their nicotine fix at the moment. Leave a few seconds of pause between each puff is essential. And of course, you must also let the resistance soak up the e-liquid before the first use. You cannot put the resistance and then fill your tank hoping to be able to vape directly. The fibres of the wick must imbibe correctly so that the liquid is vaporized, otherwise, you will, for sure, have a burnt taste.

YOU’RE NOT USING THE RIGHT POWER

As you already know, an adequate power range is recommended to use your resistors correctly. This range between two values expressed in watts allows you to select the right power that will allow the resistance to offer the best rendering. It is always on the packaging but also directly on the resistance. However, if you have not noticed this indication and you have not respected the recommended range of use, then a burnt taste may be felt. Indeed, too high a power will prematurely damage the wick which will rise too quickly in temperature and which will burn before even vaporizing the liquid.

THE PGVG LEVEL OF YOUR LIQUID IS NOT SUITABLE

A resistance also adapts to the fluidity of a liquid. Most clearomizers work perfectly with juices with a balanced PGVG rate. Some, and in particular sub-ohms, accept liquids whose percentage of vegetable glycerin is higher than that of propylene glycol, but this is not always the case. Vegetable glycerin is a viscous hydrating agent that makes e-liquid more or less thick. So be sure to choose a clearomizer with a wick capable of properly absorbing the mixture to vaporize it. Indeed, if it cannot soak then it is the cotton that will heat up and you will then have a burnt taste.

YOUR RESISTANCE IS TOO WORN

Resistance is consumable, that is to say, unlike your equipment, which has a relatively long lifespan, it must be changed regularly. It is estimated that it should be replaced approximately every two weeks, depending on the frequency of vaping. Cotton loses its absorbency over time, so if you always use the same wick, it no longer soaks up liquid and burns, which causes a strong burnt taste.

HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM?

To avoid having a burnt taste with your vape, you must make sure that your tank is sufficiently full, that the resistance or the cartridge is still operational and that the PGVG level of your liquid is suitable. Also, be careful not to vape too hard and leave an interval of a few seconds between each puff.
