How to clean your e-cigarette: the steps
An electronic cigarette is made up of several elements, but not all of them are subject to the same constraints. On the other hand, all require cleaning, according to a certain frequency.
The drip tip
The part that gets dirty the fastest, is a real nest of bacteria! This element must therefore be cleaned as a priority. Very often, the drip tip is designed in a resistant and rigid material. To clean it, there are not any precautions to take: pass it under clear water and use dishwashing liquid or soap. Another alternative: a bath with white vinegar and baking soda. Brushing is also welcome.
the tank
This part must be kept in pristine condition, as it is what stores your e-liquid. Proper maintenance will allow your e-liquid to retain all its qualities and aromas! The ideal cleaning frequency is simple to respect: as soon as you change the resistance or between two fillings if you notice dirt, you must clean the tank. The tank is very often constructed of plastic or stainless steel. Most of the time, a thorough rinse is enough.
Resistance
The resistance of the clearomizer consists of a resistive wire wound in a coil. It is in the latter that a wick of fibre or cotton is inserted. This wick is soaked in liquid and heated by the coil via an electric current.
Regarding its maintenance, the resistance is subject to fouling. But washing it is to be avoided.
Why? Because this is useless and sometimes cleaning can damage it. Indeed, rinsing a resistance can drown the cotton fibre. Consequence: the fibre can move and in this case, the burnt taste is guaranteed!
Rebuildable atomisers
A rebuildable atomizer is completely removable. To clean it, you can use water and paper towels or vinegar, baking soda and ethanol.
Battery
Sometimes the battery of an electronic cigarette can be cleaned. For the battery body, you can use a cloth lightly moistened with a cleaning product. Attention! The battery must never be put under water!
For the thread serving as a connector for the clearomiser, soak a cotton ball in household alcohol, then insert it gently into the thread to remove any dirt that may cause a false contact.
